Diabetes Sensitization Campaign in the Maumu Village, Buea, South West Region, Cameroon.
At Health & Education 4 All Int. we're making it one of our mission to not only educate but support the Diabetes Community in the hopes of promoting excellence in diabetes care in Cameroon.
Around 422 million people around the world are currently diagnosed with diabetes, and this number is expected to double in the next 20 years. But can you imagine someone living with diabetes without knowing? This is very common in Africa and we're working hard to help.
We offer FREE Diabetes awareness with help from medical personnel (volunteers). Our partnered organization, MADESO CHARITY is doing a lot to help as well as our many medical volunteers working in Cameroon
The Diabetes Campaign Program helps in identifying those at risk and teach them how to reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes for those living with prediabetes. Our diabaetes educators work in a group setting to lose 6% - 9% of their body weight and increase physical activity to at least 3 hours a week. These lifestyle changes yielded big successes.
Our educational sessions helps to offer awareness and offer people with diabetes quality education that can help change their lives.
