Many communities in Cameroon lack the basic resources to cope with the struggles of everyday life. When disaster strikes, that struggle becomes all but impossible without assistance.
Thousands of Girls & Women internally displaced by the crisis in Cameroon urgently needs help. Your support will be greatly appreciated!
We urgently need at least 5,000 sanitary pads to distribute this week ...
The main objective of this project which started in March 2018 and located at St Joseph Parish (Cathedral) Fiango, Kumba is to provide humanitarian aids to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). This project will provide reusable sanitary pads to girls and women and other basic livelihood support to over 25,000 families affected by the crises currently going on in the Anglophone regions of Cameroon. Clashes between insurgents fighting for a breakaway republic in Cameroon’s English-speaking region and security forces have killed scores of people and displaced tens of thousands.
We're working with coordination from Amef, Caritas and Justice & Peace as host organizations.
Sporadic violence is currently happening every now and then in remote in the South West and North West regions of Cameroon. Doing these extortion activities between the army and the Anglophone separatist, innocent civilians fearing for their lives are fleeing to safer places in the bushes. Without support, they suffer hunger, malnutrition, disease and girls/women have no access to basic sanitary pads during their periods.
We’re helping in providing Reusable Sanitary Pads and urgent livelihood support for internally displaced civilians affected by violence in remote areas of the SW and NW regions. At the moment, we need at least 5,000 sanitary pads to distribute to girls and women hiding in the bushes. A donation of $10 can help a girl or a woman with a reusable sanitary pads for over a year.
Improvement in the lives of vulnerable internally displaced civilians fleeing violence in the countryside where they’re currently hiding in the bushes.
